Extension & loft conversion electrics in Portishead and Bristol
An extension or loft conversion needs the electrics planned in at the right stage. Nick works alongside your builder, so the first fix goes in before the walls are closed up and the second fix follows once the plastering is done, with testing at the end.

“Cannot fault Nick and his team. Nick did our rewire a few years ago, then our loft conversion and is now in the process of sorting the electrics for our extension. He always does an excellent job and leaves the place clean and tidy at the end of the day. Have already recommended him to lots of people.”

Questions
Extension & Loft Conversion Electrics: common questions
Do you work alongside builders?
Yes. Nick works around your builder’s programme, with the first fix before the walls are closed up and the second fix after plastering. Tell him your builder’s timescale when you get in touch.
Will my fuse box need upgrading?
Often, yes. An extension or loft conversion adds load and circuits, and an older consumer unit may not have the room or the right protection. Nick will check this when he quotes.
When should the electrician get involved?
Early. The first fix, which is the cables and back boxes, has to be in before walls and ceilings are closed up, so it is worth getting the electrics planned at the design stage.
